Waitlist open
We're opening to brands in batches.
Finding a contract manufacturer usually means a list of self-written blurbs and a month of phone calls. We built the other thing: a file on every US contract manufacturer, assembled from FDA registrations, inspection records, certifications and product labels, and an engine that ranks the ones that fit the project you describe.
Brands pay nothing — not for search, not for matching, not for the introduction.

What we keep on every manufacturer
None of it is self-reported. It comes from primary records — the FDA's registries and inspection files, certification bodies, and the labels on products already on shelves. Registration is public; knowing which of those facilities can actually run your formula is the hard part. Here is what's in the file today.
- FDA registry
- Registration is the one credential nobody can self-declare. We read the MoCRA cosmetic registry and the OTC drug establishment registry both, because plenty of personal-care makers sit only in the second.
- Inspections
- 86 with FDA 483 inspection history — and 247 citations on file, each with its CFR code, the observation and the date.
- Enforcement
- Warning letters, recalls and any FDA enforcement action, each with its date. You see it before you sign, not after.
- Capability
- Every manufacturer is matched on documented process capability — emulsion, anhydrous, hot pour, stick, powder — and certification records, so every name on your shortlist can make what you're building.
- Proof of work
- 3,912 products traced to the plant that made them, from label data. Counts are public; the brand behind them never is — yours won't be either.
- Formulation
- 6,438 ingredient pages, grounded in a 95,000+ product formulation dataset.
And where a field is missing, it says so. “Not yet disclosed” — never a zero, never a guess. A blank is missing data, not a no.
What happens after you join
- 01
Tell us about the project
Category, format, the volumes you're planning and where you're selling. As much as you know.
- 02
We rank the shops that fit
Not everyone who takes the work — the ones whose lines, minimums and certifications match what you described.
- 03
You choose who to meet
We make the introduction to the ones you pick. The manufacturer pays, and only if it turns into production.
Free for brands.
Search, matching and introductions cost you nothing. The manufacturer pays, and only when an introduction turns into real production — so nobody is buying their way to the top of your shortlist.
Already have a project in motion? Say hello and we'll move you up the list. joe@thecosmeticmanufacturer.com
